Associate Professor
I am an Associate Professor with the Department of Computer Science, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan.
I did my Ph.D. in Computer Engineering at the University of Siegen, Germany under the tutelage of Prof. Marcin Grzegorzek. During Ph.D., I worked on the analysis of human activities in healthcare and visual surveillance. I have about 18 years of teaching experience at institutions of higher education in Pakistan, Germany, and Poland. I have more than 50 publications in top computing journals and renowned international proceedings. I published a book on the analysis of human activities in the domain of healthcare and visual surveillance. Moreover, in the past, I have also collaborated with the European industry on two international projects funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) and have proposed solutions using state-of-the-art pattern recognition algorithms. I have been leading a team for the automation of university systems. We developed and deployed a complete ERP system to fulfill the academic and administrative requirements of the university.
